The first day of travel was mostly lost in flight as we flew from Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur via Air Asia’s new service. The flight went reasonably smoothly, and we landed in KL 20 minutes ahead of schedule.
Once we were able to find our accommodation (as it was reasonably late) we decided to wander around the Chinatown area where we were staying and find some food. We wandered through the Petaling Street night markets, and found some skewered meat being sold by a street restaurant for our dinner.
So far the humidity has been the big killer for us and is taking some getting used to – and we haven’t even been here during the heat of the day yet!
