Today’s blog post won’t have a huge amount of text as the pictures are going to give a much better idea of what our visit to Kukkiwon was like.
Kukkiwon is located in the Gangnam area of Seoul, and although we had some challenges finding the building we did eventually make it there (we just followed a couple of people in doboks which made things easier).
We didn’t make it to the museum, as we got a little bit distracted by a University breaking contest which was being held on the same day we visited. It was great to be able to see the contest, and some of the breaks were rather amazing – very acrobatic. There were also demonstrations of kicks with a blindfold on (a bell was used to signal where the target was), as well as doing a backflip from standing to kick two tennis balls launched into the air prior to the backflip. Definitely not something I could do!
