World Travel 2013-2014, Final Day in Paris

Today was our final day in Paris, and can’t say it was an overly successful one. We headed out by train to Versailles, but didn’t end up going inside the palace as the queues were crazy (we didn’t have enough time on our transit day to spent 2 hours in queues) and the gardens were closed for a concert (boo). Next time I think we’ll head to Versailles as a part of a tour group just so we can avoid the queues as much as possible.

We ended up heading back into the city where we found the queues were just as crazy for other locations around Paris. Instead, we ended up having a delicious afternoon tea of hot chocolate and cake at Angelina’s before heading back to our accommodation to prepare for our night bus to Chamonix.
