Ah back to the heat. This time it was the heat of Miami, and we were in Miami for one very specific, and rather last minute decision. Before we left Australia, Takeshi and I discussed where we might like to go in the US and Canada for the month and courtesy of a few links shared by my Dad (thanks Dad!) our plans took a bit of a turn.
Yes, that’s right. We were in Miami to go on a cruise. A week long cruise in fact, which would head to Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Mexico and the Bahamas and allow us to get a little taste of the Caribbean. A bit of a vacation from our vacation I guess. Not that I’d call travelling for a year a vacation…
Talk about luxury when we saw the room we would be staying for the next week! Other than when we have stayed with family or friends, I can’t say that our accommodation has always been the… er… most inviting of places so this was a bit of a treat.
