A new beginning

Hello!

It’s been a while coming, but I’m finally getting started with the blog. About a year ago I purchased a Nikon D7000, with two standard kit lenses – 18-105 and 55-300. Around the same time my partner, set up this blog – thank you! To my credit I have allowed both the camera and blog to collect a lot of dust through lack of use over the past year (doh!) and still know just as much on how to use a DSLR as I did prior to purchasing this camera (which is absolutely nothing!). Hooray!

So in an effort to turn things around, I’ll be updating this blog more regularly and will start looking at different features of the camera (beginning to sound like a New Years resolution.. dangerous stuff) in an effort to begin to understand how this monster of a camera works. To kick things off the next few blog posts will be a collection of different events where I used the camera, my initial experiences with the camera as well as some old travel photos taken prior to the Nikon (just to balance things out a bit).
