World Travel 2013-2014, Ireland Wrap Up

  • Overall what we did: 2 days in Dublin from 26 March 2014 to 27 March 2014.
  • Favourite part of Ireland: Wandering around the city centre and then warming up with a delicious lunch! I think it’s hard to beat that combination
  • Key tip: Remember your passport or some form of ID – there may be checks although for us, no one checked our identification at all when we entered the country
  • Cultural points: No major points here. If you’re familiar with cultural customs in the UK or Australia, they’re basically the same
  • Highlights: The Archaeology Museum, definitely the Archaeology Museum
  • Mummy at the Archaeology Museum, Dublin, Ireland

  • Best Experience: Finding some good food for lunch! Ah, what a relief!
  • Worst Experience: The dorm room. Yup, we had a pretty big dorm in Dublin and it was super awesome to have some who snored at a decimal level to rival a freight truck and Russians whose only talking volume seemed to be super loud or even louder. Needless to say, found it a bit hard to get to sleep
  • Must See Attraction: Would highly recommend the Archaeology Museum. We had a lot of fun there and the exhibits are an interesting look into the history of Ireland
  • Most Over-hyped Attraction: Can’t say as we didn’t go into many attractions in Ireland due to the short amount of time in the country
  • Would I go back? Absolutely. Why not? After all we were only there for two days. If I went back though, like Scotland and Northern Ireland I think we’d hire a car so we could head out of the main areas and see more of the countryside.
