World Travel 2013-2014, Passing Myponga Reservoir

On the way back to Adelaide from Kangaroo Island, Dad and I stopped off at Myponga Reservoir along the way.

It’s funny how I have travelled the main road from Adelaide to Cape Jervis so many times over the years, but I haven’t seen much of the towns or sights along the way. So this time we changed that and headed up to the lookout at Myponga Reservoir – the view was really nice.

A couple of quick facts about the reservoir:
Capacity: 5,905 million gallons
Thickness at base: 55 feet
Volume of concrete: 72,900 cubic yards
