A third stop of the cruise was in Cozumel, Mexico and for today we had decided that we would like to see the Tulum ruins as our day excursion. We started out with a lovely group from the cruise ship and caught a boat and then a bus to the main land and onto Tulum.
Walking around the ruins reminded me a lot of Pompeii (which is amazing, and if you’ve never been I highly recommend visiting). The ruins themselves were beautiful; however, the sun was very strong and it was pretty hot so you could understand why most people in the area ended up down at the nearby beach in the water. Some of the carvings on the buildings were beautiful, and very different to the style we’ve seen on other buildings.
