Vietnam & Indonesia 2015, Leaving Ha Long Bay

Today was a quiet day as we headed back to port and to dry land. The weather was still a bit miserable, and we found out after returning to land that the tours on the day before we left, and the day we arrived back had all been cancelled due to the weather. We were very lucky to have been on one of the few days where our tour went ahead.

On our bus ride back into Hanoi we had another tour stop this time at a factory which employed disabled people. Takeshi and I mainly spent our time running around outside pursuing a poor little snake and stretching our legs which was nice.

A few days later when we were in Yogyakarta, I read some news that Hanoi had been hit with massive amounts of rain and 1500 tourists had been rescued out of Ha Long Bay due to the poor weather. Very lucky indeed!
