Vietnam & Indonesia 2015, Running the Chu Chi Tunnels
Today was our first full day on tour, and we were off to the Chu Chi Tunnels. It was an… interesting experience I would say. I can’t say it was an enjoyable experience (visiting war sites never is) but similar to the Killing Fields in Cambodia I would say that it was important to visit to get an understanding of the modern history of Vietnam.
The tunnels were so tight and narrow, it was rather claustrophobic. Can’t imagine what it would have been like to have to live in those kind of conditions.
After the tunnels our tour group had a quick stop at a rubber plantation before doing a bit of a city tour to see some of the local buildings.
