World Travel 2013-2014, At the Mouth of the River Ness
After a 3.5 hour bus ride, we arrived in Inverness. The bus journey wasn’t that long from Edinburgh, but it’s always surprising how a transit can manage to chew up a whole day even if it’s only a few hours.
Needless to say, we didn’t get much else done other than find our accommodation and go for a brief walk through the (very) small town centre. Interestingly, Inverness translated from Gaelic means ‘the Mouth of the River Ness’, which I guess isn’t a very creative name for the town as it’s built at the mouth of the River Ness.
