World Travel 2013-2014, Buns and Chopsticks, Chinese Food
I’ll keep this post nice and short and let the pictures do (most) of the talking. Our experiences with the food in China was a bit of a mix. Some of it was nice, but there was quite a bit of it which was very disappointing. I guess because we were on tour and moving with a large group we were taken to very ‘touristy’ areas. This wouldn’t have been so bad if the food wasn’t cold most of the time…
I still can’t believe that a Chinese restaurant (which should be used to large family gatherings) can’t serve hot food. The food improved later in the trip but it still wasn’t brilliant. We ate a lot better when we were wandering around by ourselves (it was a bit of an adventure, half the time we had no clue what we were ordering), and maybe it would be different if we went back with a local but overall I found the food rather disappointing.
Back to Gouger Street in Adelaide I go!
