World Travel 2013-2014, Climbing to Swayambhunath Temple
One of the final sights that we decided to take a look at during our time here in Nepal was Swayambhunath Temple. Also known as Monkey Temple, Swayambhunath Temple is within easy walking distance of Thamel and also our new accommodation in Kathmandu.
The temple certainly lived up to its name with a lot of monkeys around. There were also a surprising number of shops and also some cafes at the top of the temple area. As always in Nepal, the amount of colour, flags and movement was fantastic and resulted in some great opportunities for photos. Managed to get a few photos – if only my camera wasn’t broken!
