World Travel 2013-2014, Dancing in the Parks of Suzhou
Today was one of our final day in Suzhou, and was spent running around checking out a silk factory (poor little worms) and visiting the Lingering Gardens.
The Lingering Gardens in particular were very beautiful, and I loved how they had designed the garden so that there were all different sorts of frames and viewpoints which would make the garden look completely different. We were very lucky in that our visit was timed with a Zither performance (rather beautiful), and we also managed to catch a dance performance as well. We had to run away from our group to watch the dance performance, but it was definitely worth nearly losing the tour group for – and we still had enough time to check out the bonsai afterwards!
