World Travel 2013-2014, Easter eggs, bunnys and bells in Paris
Takeshi and I celebrated Easter Sunday in Paris this year. It was my first celebration of Easter away from family, and while it’s more fun to be able to spend the time with family we were able to create our own celebration in Paris.
We couldn’t find hot cross buns in France, so instead we headed to Jeff de Bruges to pick up some chocolate to enjoy on the Sunday.
So here are the pralines we selected:
Oeuf duo
Marzipan and praliné with crocant egg. This one was probably my least favourite, but then again I’m not a big fan of marzipan.

Milk bell (Cloche lait)
Smooth praline centre. This would have to be one of my favourites, very smooth and creamy and colour is rather creative.

Milk hen (Poule lait)
Praline and caramel centre. Definitely my personal favourite of the six pralines we tried – but then again, I don’t know if you can beat a caramel centre!

Marbled rabbit (Lapin marbre)
Tender praline centre. Again this one was also yummy. I personally prefer dark chocolate, but a nice marbled chocolate can be nice as well.

Dark rabbit (Lapin noir)
Praline speculoos centre. Another praline centre, but this time with a smooth dark chocolate exterior. Yum!

Dark fish (Poisson noir)
Feuillantine praline centre. Last praline. All of them were rather nice, and of course it’s always good if they’re dark chocolate!

We had a great time nibbling these chocolates in the sun at the park in front of the Eiffel Tower. Can’t beat an Easter Sunday spent relaxing in the sun, with chocolate!
We have a few more chocolates left to enjoy, namely this dark chocolate cloche which I’m looking forward to eating 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful and safe Easter!
