World Travel 2013-2014, Exploring Peles Castle

Will just keep this post short. Today was spent heading out to Sinaia from Brasov (very easy to do by either bus or train) where we visited Peles Castle, one of the top recommended spots to see in Romania.

Well, I say visit but we didn’t actually end up going inside. We sat outside enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate before wandering off through the town and back to Brasov. It’s a very beautiful castle from the outside, so I would recommend taking a look if you’re in the area (although I think for us, after travelling for so long seeing the inside of Bran was enough castles for us!).

Oh, I would recommend though just walking yourself from the train or bus station up to the castle. It only takes about 30 minutes or so (not the hour taxi drivers will claim), and it is mostly just a gentle slope. There is a bit of stairs straight from the train station, but it’s very short and the rest is a very pleasant and easy walk.
