World Travel 2013-2014, Visiting Buyeo

Our first stop outside of Seoul was the town of Boyeo, in between Seoul and Daejeon. Boyeo was formerly an old capital in South Korea, and we thought we would visit to get a different view of South Korea.

The town itself is very small, and the main attractions are also rather small (the five storied pagoda is missable); however, we had a good time walking around the old fortress area. The walk was rather peaceful wandering up the hill stopping by various foundations and pavillions along the way.

If you’re in the area, I would recommend walking around the fortress area; however, the other spots we visited I wouldn’t recommend. Definitely pick up a kimchi bun before you hop on a bus to your next destination – they are just across the street from the bus terminal and very delicious.
